Manipal Education Trust and Government of Sikkim partnered together to form Sikkim Manipal University in 1995, which is first and foremost government-private institution recognized by University Grants Commission and also is approved by Government of India, Department of Education for its numerous technical and professional courses at undergraduate and post graduate level.
